What is Knob Screen?

With the development of technology and the increasing demand for technological products, the demand for application development services is also increasing. As a result, knob screens have been developed. We are a manufacturer and solution provider in China that integrates research and development with the production of display and  solutions with panel. Our goal is customers around the world use our high-quality TFT display. In this article, we will introduce knowledge about knob display.

Knob display, also named rotary display, as its name implies, is a display screen shaped like a knob. Users can operate the panel by rotating it. Because of its novel technology and fashionable appearance, it has recently been widely used in kitchen equipment, smart control, smart thermostat and other fields.

The knob screen is controlled by an I/O interface, a memory CPU central processing unit, integrated on a single chip (MCU serial port board) for knob screen switching. It adopts the UART communication protocol, which has two serial ports and can support two serial ports. The communication methods include I2C or SPI. Our knob uses SPI signals, making the engineering work very simple.

Knob screens generally use circular LCD screens. Currently, the commonly used round TFT screens are 1.3, 1.6, 2.1, 2.5, 2.8, 3.0, 3.4, 3.6, 4.0, and 5.0 inches. These sizes can be customized for knob display if customers have inquiry. We currently have standard 1.28 and 1.6inch knob screens. If customers need other sizes, we can mold and customize them, just make a simple CNC.

We can also customize capacitive touch panel on knob display, allowing them to operate the panel by rotating the knob while also using touch control, which is very flexible and efficient.Overall, we have the strong abilities to help customers customize completed display solutions, including TFT LCD display screens, electronic hardware with user displaying content and wanted functions, making it easier for customers to develop a new product in the early stages, reducing time and cost.
