TFT display technology achieves multiple breakthroughs: penetrating applications from automotive to ultra-high-definition applications.

During the display industry's peak season in 2025, TFT (thin-film transistor) display technology is experiencing renewed vitality thanks to technological iterations and expanded application scenarios. In a market dominated by new technologies like OLED and MicroLED, TFT technology has not only consolidated its mainstream position through cost control, reliability upgrades, and cross-industry integration, but has also achieved breakthroughs in both high-end and niche markets.

Technological innovation continues to set new industry standards. Chenxian Optoelectronics' launch of the world's first 135-inch P0.7 TFT-based Micro-LED mass-produced screen at DIC EXPO 2025 has garnered significant attention. Its use of a glass substrate and AM active drive technology enables independent drive of each lamp, eliminating the "caterpillar" phenomenon seen in traditional tiled screens while reducing power consumption by 37% and achieving over 10 times higher flatness than conventional products. Tianma's LTPO 3.0 technology, developed in collaboration with OPPO, achieves a continuously variable refresh rate of 1-240Hz through heterogeneous integration of oxide and low-temperature polycrystalline silicon TFTs. This reduces power consumption by 40% when playing 24-frame video, making it a new choice for high-end devices.

The diverse application scenarios demonstrate the technology's resilience. In the automotive sector, Haifei Zhixian's 7-inch IPS TFT LCD, with its ultra-low temperature startup capability of -30°C, addresses the "black screen" issue often seen in electric vehicles in cold northern regions. It is now used in the instrument clusters of several domestic automakers. In medical applications, its 10.1-inch high-definition panel, with its anti-blue light and antibacterial treatments, serves as a core component in monitors, ensuring both doctor comfort and patient safety. In the industrial control sector, its 5-inch integrated touchscreen module utilizes a waterproof bonding process to adapt to complex factory environments and improve production efficiency.

Building an industrial ecosystem strengthens competitive advantage. Domestic companies are forming a collaborative innovation landscape. Haifei Zhixuan, through partnerships with local suppliers of touch modules, driver ICs, and other components, has achieved independent control of its supply chain. Its proprietary LCM production line can quickly respond to custom needs. Chenxian Optoelectronics, with TFT-based technology at its core, has built a comprehensive product portfolio, from transparent screens to glasses-free 3D screens. Its 8.18-inch transparent screen boasts a 72% transmittance, making it suitable for emerging scenarios such as museums and smart cities.

Industry forecasts predict that the global TFT display market will exceed tens of billions of dollars by 2025, with Chinese companies leading the way thanks to their cost-effective technology. From consumer electronics to industrial and consumer applications, TFT technology is taking a key position in the display industry's technological competition with a strategy of "steady iteration and deep application development."
