Optical Bonding Solutions to reduce delamination

Touchscreen is susceptible to delamination outdoors because of its exposure to a variety of weather conditions and other environmental factors. These include temperature changes, humidity levels, and UV radiation from the sun. These factors can cause the adhesive that holds the touchscreen together to weaken, resulting in delamination, or separation of the layers. Delamination can also occur if the device is dropped or if moisture seeps into the device.

There are are three ways to avoid it. One method to reduce delamination is to use a higher-grade adhesive. This type of adhesive is designed to be more durable and resistant to environmental factors, such as temperature and humidity changes. Additionally, it can be beneficial to use a stronger bonding method, such as heat staking or laser welding, which can create a stronger bond between the touchscreen and the device. Finally, it is important to ensure that the device is properly sealed to reduce the risk of moisture seeping in and causing delamination.

Head Sun offers an innovative Optical Bonding solution that enhances the viewability and durability of displays. This process involves using an optically clear adhesive to create a permanent bond between the display and a protective glass layer. This eliminates the air gap between them, reducing the reflective index and increasing the brightness of the display. Additionally, the bond offers superior protection against moisture, dirt, and dust. With improved touch sensitivity and higher contrast, you can enjoy a sharper and more vivid viewing experience.

We provide in-house optical bonding services from our Shenzhen facility, where we also manufacture touch screens. Our total solution offers a high FPY rate and an effective reworking system. We also offer UV resistant and wide temperature solutions for different applications. Bonding methods may vary between resistive and projected capacitive touch screens, and can be applied to products of up to 55".
