1. Clarify Requirements: Size, Resolution, and Aspect Ratio
The "bar" feature of an HD LCD bar monitor means it has a non-standard aspect ratio (e.g., 16:3, 20:5, etc.). First, you need to determine the screen's physical size and resolution based on the installation space and displayed content. A high resolution (such as 1920×480) can deliver a more delicate display effect, but it is necessary to ensure that the device motherboard supports this resolution output.
2. Core Indicators: Brightness and Contrast
In situations with strong ambient light (such as POS machines used outdoors or under strong light), high brightness (usually requiring 800 cd/m² or above) is the key to ensuring clear visibility. High contrast (e.g., 1500:1) can present deeper blacks and more distinct color gradations, which is particularly important for displaying complex charts or dark-colored interfaces.
3. Visual Experience: Viewing Angle and Color Performance
If the screen needs to be viewed from multiple angles (such as supermarket checkout counters), be sure to choose an IPS hard screen technology with a wide viewing angle (preferably 178° horizontal/vertical viewing angle) to avoid color distortion or brightness attenuation. For applications with strict color requirements (such as medical imaging), pay attention to the color gamut coverage rate (e.g., sRGB ≥ 99%) to ensure true and accurate color reproduction.
