What is OCA(Optical Clear Adhesive)bonding method?
Leave a message
OCA (Optical Clear Adhesive) bonding refers to the process of using transparent optical adhesive materials to directly bond the touch screen or cover glass to the display surface (such as LCD or OLED screen). Compared with the traditional low-cost DST frame mounting method, OCA full lamination eliminates the gap between the touch screen or cover glass and industrial lcd module, thereby reducing reflections, improving contrast, and increasing readability in strong sunlight.
Gap refers to the space between the touch screen/cover glass and the LCD display. Reducing or eliminating this gap can help improve overall optical performance. OCA full fit eliminates this gap, thereby reducing internal reflections and enhancing contrast for a more vivid and clear display. At the same time, without light scattering and reflection, the transmittance of OCA full lamination will be higher, which improves the readability of the display in bright outdoor environments. In addition, by fully attaching the touch panel to the LCD display, the overall structure of the display is more complete and can effectively resist moisture, dust and vibration environments, thus improving the overall durability of the display.
From raw material preparation, OCA alignment and lamination to curing, the entire process of OCA lamination is carried out in an ISO Class 1,000 dust-free workshop. The following is the production flow chart of full lamination of capacitive touch screen and OCA.
The production flow chart of OCA full lamination represents the lamination process of solid OCA. If you use LOCA liquid optical glue for bonding, the bonding process will be different. Head Sun Co., Ltd has extensive experience in solid OCA full lamination and can provide OCA full lamination services for most small and medium-sized TFT LCD displays. However, for some larger-sized industrial screens, full OCA lamination cannot be performed due to their mechanical structure. In this case, LOCA (Liquid Optical Adhesive Adhesive) should be considered.
The purpose of OCA full lamination is to eliminate the gap between the touch panel and the display, enhance visual performance, improve readability in sunlight, and improve the overall durability of the display. This fit improves contrast and reduces reflections, resulting in a clearer and more vivid display. Optical full lamination is widely used in various industries, including consumer electronics, automotive, medical equipment and outdoor displays, to achieve excellent display quality and durability. Optical full lamination can also be customized based on requirements such as thickness, optical performance and environmental durability.
