What are the laminating methods for the display?

The monitor contains three parts, from top to bottom they are Glass+TP+LCD. TP is the touch panel and LCD is the display. The lamination method refers to the lamination method between these three parts. There are two types of lamination: frame lamination and full lamination.
1 frame lamination
Frame sticker is also known as the mouth of the word adhesive lamination, no technical content, just a simple double-sided adhesive will be TP and LCD on all sides with double-sided adhesive, which is also used by most of the cell phone before the display of the lamination method, the advantage lies in the process is simple and inexpensive, but because of the existence of the display and the touch screen between the layer of air, in the light refraction leads to a significant reduction in the display effect.
The frame lamination method is easy to get dust, and after disassembling it, you will find that it is pasted with double-sided tape. Only very low-end cell phones will use the frame paste process.
2 Full Lamination
Full Lamination is a process where the LCD and the TP are glued together in a seamless manner using either adhesive or optical clear adhesive (OCA, Opticaly Clear Adhesive). To add to this, the TP and the protective glass are also seamlessly bonded together with a water or optical adhesive. Seamless here means that the gap between LCD and TP or TP and protective glass is filled with glue. There are no bubbles, no air.
Compared with the frame sticker, the full lamination technology does not have the air layer between the individual screen layers, so according to the optical principle, it can reduce the reflection between the LCD and the glass layer, which can make the screen look more translucent, the screen display effect is significantly improved, and there is no gray ingress problem. In addition to the above two significant features, there are two invisible benefits is the touch module because of close bonding with the panel, so the strength of the enhancement; In addition, the full lamination can also better reduce the noise generated by the display panel of the touch operation caused by the interference.
3 Full lamination also has three kinds of process: OSG, OnCell, Incell
3.1 OSG
OGS (ONE GLASSS SOLUTION) technology, also known as TOL technology (Note: the two processes are very different, TOL better quality but high cost), now mainly by the touch screen manufacturers to lead and develop, display panel manufacturers tend to promote the 0n-Cell or In-Cell technology is because of its own is the production of displays, and therefore tends to be the touch layer Produced in the display; and touch module manufacturers or upstream material manufacturers tend to OGS, that is, the touch layer is produced in the protective glass, the main reason is that the technology has a strong production process capabilities and technology. At present, InCell&Oncell is a camp and OSG is a camp. OSG is generally used at the low end.
3.2 Oncell
Although the technology and InCell technology is only one letter, but the gap is not small, this technology is also mainly led by the panel manufacturers research and development, the technology refers to the touch screen embedded in the display between the color filter substrate and polarizer method, that is, in the LCD panel with touch sensors, compared to InCell technology difficulty is reduced by a lot. Samsung, Hitachi, LG and other manufacturers in the OnCell structure of the touch screen faster progress, at present, OnCell more used in Samsung Amoled panel products, technology has not yet been able to overcome the thinness, color unevenness generated by the touch and other issues.
3.3 Incell
The technology of embedding the function of TP into the liquid crystal pixels, that is, embedding the function of touch sensor inside the display panel, so that the original 3-layer protective glass + TP + LCD has become a two-layer protective glass with touch function LCD, which can make the screen become thinner and lighter. most of the AMPLED screens use this technology. LCD with this technology, need TDDI chip, that is, touch and display driver integration.
