Frame bonding is a mature and cost-effective assembly method. Because the touchscreen and LCD are not permanently laminated across the entire display area, the assembly can generally be easier to service or replace.

Why Is Optical Bonding Important for Industrial Displays?
For industrial touch displays, optical performance is not simply a cosmetic consideration.

In these applications, the air gap of a conventional frame-bonded display can create additional internal reflections. Under strong ambient light, this may make the image appear less clear and reduce perceived contrast.
