What are the special requirements for outdoor LCD displays?

Outdoor stretched bar monitor must meet two core requirements: high environmental adaptability and stable display performance. The specific key indicators are as follows:

1. High brightness and contrast: The display must have a brightness of 500cd/㎡ or above (800-1500cd/㎡ is required in some strong light environments) and a high contrast ratio to ensure that the image is clearly visible under direct sunlight and avoid reflection interference.

2. Waterproof and dustproof capability: The protection level must reach IP65 or above, which can resist the intrusion of rain, dust, and moisture. Some harsh environments require IP66/IP67 level.

3. Wide operating temperature range: The device must support a temperature range of -30°C to 60°C or even wider, using heat dissipation (fans/heat sinks) or heating designs to avoid black screens at low temperatures and system freezes at high temperatures.

4. Impact resistance and durability: The screen surface must be covered with tempered glass (Mohs 7 or above) or a scratch-resistant coating, and the outer shell must be made of corrosion-resistant materials such as aluminum alloy, and can withstand minor collisions and wind and sand wear.

5. Anti-glare and wide viewing angle: Anti-glare (AG) processing technology is used to reduce ambient light reflection; the viewing angle must reach a full 178° viewing angle to ensure that viewers from all directions can see the picture clearly.

6. Stable power supply and signal: Support wide voltage input (such as AC 100-240V) and have lightning and surge protection; signal interfaces (such as HDMI and Ethernet ports) must be anti-interference to ensure stable long-distance transmission.

7. Energy saving and low maintenance: Adopt energy-saving technologies such as LED backlight to reduce power consumption during long-term outdoor operation; support remote monitoring and automatic power on and off to reduce the frequency of on-site maintenance.
