Comprehensive analysis of the mystery of touch screen

A touch screen is an inductive liquid crystal display device that can receive input signals such as touch. It allows users to interact directly with the screen through fingers, stylus, etc., replacing traditional keyboard and mouse input. At present, the mainstream touch screen technologies include resistive, capacitive, infrared and surface acoustic wave. Resistive touch screens work through pressure sensing. When the screen is pressed, the upper and lower conductive layers contact to generate electrical signals; capacitive touch screens use the human body's electric field. When a finger touches the screen, it changes the capacitance value, thereby achieving touch positioning; infrared touch screens are equipped with infrared transmitting and receiving tubes around the screen. When the infrared rays are blocked, a touch signal can be formed; surface acoustic wave touch screens transmit and receive sound waves, and touch operations interfere with the propagation of sound waves, thereby identifying the user's operation intention.

Touch screens are widely used. In the field of consumer electronics, smartphones and tablets have brought convenient and smooth operating experience with touch screens; car navigation, smart home appliances and other products have also achieved intelligent upgrades in human-computer interaction with the help of touch screens. In commercial and public service scenarios, self-service cash registers in the retail industry and inquiry terminals in public places have improved service efficiency and convenience through touch screens. As technology continues to advance, touch screens are moving towards high resolution, high sensitivity, and large size. At the same time, thinness and low power consumption are becoming increasingly important to meet the needs of portable devices. In addition, multi-touch, gesture recognition and other functions are continuously optimized, further enhancing the interactive experience. In the future, touch screens will also be deeply integrated with artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things and other technologies, becoming the core interactive entrance of smart devices, with a broader application prospect.
