Characteristics and requirements of marine electronic fish finder display screen
Leave a message
As a core device for anglers and fishermen to obtain underwater information, the fish finder display screen must be designed around core requirements such as accurate information presentation, adaptability to complex environments, and ease of operation. Specifically, the following are the requirements:
1. Core display performance requirements
• High definition and resolution: Details such as underwater terrain, fish distribution, and water depth must be clearly presented. The resolution is usually 800×480 or above, and some high-end models reach 1080P to ensure that the outlines of fish schools and the edges of underwater structures (such as reefs and aquatic plants) are clearly visible to avoid misjudgment due to blur.
• High contrast and color expression: It must have a high contrast (such as 1000:1 or above) to make a clear difference between the dark water bottom and the light-colored fish/targets; at the same time, it supports color differentiation display of elements such as fish schools, bottom, and depth lines (such as fish schools marked in red and bottom marked in blue) to intuitively distinguish different types of information.
• Wide viewing angle and adjustable brightness: The viewing angle must cover more than 160° horizontally/vertically to facilitate simultaneous observation by multiple people; the brightness supports multi-level adjustment (such as 500-1000 nits), which can be adjusted to high brightness and anti-glare in strong light, and can be adjusted to low brightness in low light/night to avoid glare, suitable for different lighting environments such as daytime, dusk, and night.
• Anti-reflection and anti-glare: The surface is coated with anti-glare or frosted to reduce interference from direct sunlight and reflected light from the water surface, ensuring clear readings even in strong outdoor light and avoiding the problem of "inability to see due to reflections".
2. Environmental adaptability requirements
• Waterproof and dustproof performance: Because it is often exposed to water, rain or humid environments, the protection level must reach IPX5 or above (IPX7 is better), which can withstand splashing and short-term immersion in water, and prevent rain and river water from seeping in and damaging the internal circuit.
• Temperature resistance and corrosion resistance: supports a wide operating temperature range of -10°C~60°C, adaptable to low outdoor temperatures (such as low temperature environments for fishing early in the morning) and high temperature exposure; the shell and interfaces are made of corrosion-resistant materials (such as stainless steel, anti-salt spray coating), especially fish finders used for sea fishing need to resist salt spray erosion.
• Anti-vibration and durability: The body structure is sturdy and can withstand bumps and minor collisions during carrying (such as shaking when fishing and accidental drops). It follows the durability standards of outdoor equipment and reduces the risk of failure during daily use.
